Four Australian charities win goa Community Partnerships Program

Four Australian charities have been selected as the official winners of goa’s 2019 Community Partnerships Program. Each will be afforded a minimum of $250k in free media space across goa’s digital billboard network—the largest out-of-home media network in Queensland.

The winners are:

SolarBuddy: helping combat energy poverty and raise awareness on this lesser known, yet global issue with the ‘Gift a Light’ campaign.

Anglicare Southern Queensland: Anglicare Southern Queensland’s and Spur.org for their #OLDMATE Queensland campaign which aims to reduce loneliness amongst the elderly, change cultural perceptions of getting older and encourage 18-35-year-olds to volunteer and engage with people over 65

The Common Good: the Common Good with weareflip.com are launching an online platform where everyday people can back innovative medical research that might one day save their own life, the life of someone they love, or millions of lives around the world.

Childhood Cancer Support: The ‘Send Hugs’ campaign encourages the public to send a message of love and support to a Childhood Cancer Support family (past or present) whilst having the opportunity to make a valuable donation.

These incredible organisations will gain access to Brisbane's biggest large screen network, including THE ICONIC SERIES, with audiences of over 1,000,000 people each day and a total of 41 digital sites - the 2019 community partners will be afforded Instagram, weather feed and RSS feed integration, along with geo-targeted messaging to help bolster their campaigns.

Applicants were asked to answer a creative brief and were encouraged to think outside of the box to align their campaign with their business objectives and drive engagement with their cause in the world of hashtags, clicks, and swipes.

“The 2019 Community Partnerships Program was hotly contested. Year on year, I am flawed by the outstanding creativity of the charity organisations that present, and although it was a tough pool to choose from, we are thrilled with our selections,” says goa’s CEO and Joint Managing Director, Chris Tyquin.

“We’re excited to aid these organisations and help amplify their meaningful campaigns through our dynamic digital billboard network.”

In previous years, incredible organisations such as the Great Barrier Reef Foundation, Anglicare Southern QLD and the Queensland Writers Centre have made use of goa’s dynamic integrated network of digital billboards as part of the Community Partnerships Program.
