Heytex introduces unique PVC-free frontlit banner for outdoor use

12/04/2019

German technical textiles manufacturer Heytex has introduced the ecotex B1 non-PVC matt white printable frontlit banner that is environmentally friendly, sustainable and health conscious - free of plasticisers and phthalates, as well as isocyanate-containing brominated compounds.

Recommended for UV and Latex print in up to 500 cm width, the ecotex B1 is a unique alternative for outdoor applications where PVC is not permitted with an outdoor lasting of up to six months (northern European climate). It endures high wind loads due to its very high tear resistance and form stability. In addition, since its weight is reduced by 50% (compared to other similar frontlits), the material ensures easy processing, reduces waste disposal after use, CO2 in transport and transportation costs.

Since it is also DIN 4102 B1 rated, it fulfils building authority requirements.

Floris van Boxtel of German digital printer Thamm, which prides itself on its pioneer activities in regard to climate neutrality in the digital print sector, says:  “Ecotex B1 is the optimal alternative to PVC banners and a great addition to our portfolio.”

“As premium supplier for large format digital printing, we find the ecological balance of our products as very important,” adds Alexander Beilken of German wide format printer Procedes. “The innovative ecotex B1 is a perfect addition to our product portfolio to also provide high-quality and sustainable solutions to our customers in the future.”

Heytex products are distributed in Australia by Starleaton.
