GAMART exclusive Australian supplier of Xanita Engineered Fibreboard

Graphic Art Mart has announced an exclusive partnership with South African-based company Xanita, a world-leader in the production of engineered fibreboard. Mark Canavan, GAMART Product and Vendor Relations Manager, recently welcome Xanita founder and CEO James Beattie and his staff to Australia, who made the trip to deliver workshop and training sessions on then products for the Graphic Art Mart teams. Canavan says: “We look forward to showing our customers these sustainable board solutions.”

Strong, durable materials such as MDF are heavy and difficult to handle, while lightweight options like corrugated and honeycomb boards lack the structural performance and durability required for demanding applications. Graphic Art Mart has initially launched two of Xanita’s most popular fibreboard solutions: Xanita Premium Print and Xanita Aspect Print, both of which are specially engineered fibreboards designed for:
- strength: load bearing capability with a high strength-to-weight ratio;
- processing: clean and efficient CNC routing;
- fabrication: can be slotted, tabbed and folded without need for metal frameworks;
- handling: flat-packable for easier shipping and handling;
- visual quality: consistent printing for professional finishes; and
- durability: closed-cell core and more moisture resistance than other fibreboard alternatives for extended performance
Xanita Premium Print is a lightweight, fibre‑based composite board engineered to deliver premium semi-permanent displays and builds (a sustainable alternative to traditional rigid substrates such as PVC and MDF). Constructed from a high‑crush‑strength recycled paper core, The board features an excellent strength-to-weight ratio, perfect for 3D displays, exhibition stand, event branding and interiors. This composite board has smooth, coated surfaces which are optimised for direct digital printing, supporting Latex, Solvent and UV ink technologies, ensuring the consistency and quality required for premium finishes.
Xanita Aspect Print is a lightweight, fibre-based composite board which delivers a cost-effective fibreboard solution, featuring a high strength-to-weight ratio compared to alternative lightweight rigid materials such as corrugated boards and foamed core PVC boards. It is ideal for short-term signage and 2D applications such as event branding and standees and features smooth surfaces with no dimpling, ensuring dependable, consistent quality digital printing across latex, solvent and UV ink technologies.
