Metamark launches next generation MDC XR cast vinyl at FESPA 2026
Metamark the UPM Raflatac signage and graphics brand, has launched a new formulation of its MetaCast MDC XR Cast Printable Vehicle Wrap Film with XR Adhesive System at FESPA, Barcelona. The updated product refines the application characteristics of its current formulation while retaining the printability performance for which the range is established in the market.
The principal change in the new formulation is a reduction in initial tack, resulting in greater slidability during application. This next generation of product is designed to allow a single installer to complete the application process without assistance.
Speaking to Image at FESPA Barcelona last week, Pravin Krishnan, Metamark’s Managing Director Asia Pacific and Middle East confirmed that the product’s printability specifications remain unchanged from the current version. “The reformulation is intended to extend the range’s suitability across a broader range of installation conditions, rather than to alter the existing performance profile’, said Krishnan.
The product development process involved structured feedback from customer focus groups in both Europe and Australia. Krishnan noted that the inclusion of Australian customers in the testing process was deliberate, reflecting the company’s intention to ensure the product performs to specification under the extreme variations in weather conditions seen in the Australian market.
The MetaCast MDC XR is available as a white printable cast vinyl, compatible with standard digital print workflows. Metamark has confirmed the product will be available in the Australian market in June.
