Tsuyoshi Kanda succeeds Yohei Konaka as Konica Minolta Australia MD
Tsuyoshi Kanda (left) has been appointed as Managing Director of Konica Minolta Australia, effective 1 November 2026, succeeding Yohei Konaka, who has led Konica Minolta Australia for the past six years.
Kanda says: “Print continues to play an essential role across both production and office environments, but customer needs are changing. Commercial printers are looking for greater automation, consistent quality, more efficient workflows and new ways to grow. At the same time, organisations need to reduce complexity, connect systems and manage information securely across the digital workplace.”
“Konica Minolta Australia is well placed to support both priorities by combining print technology, workflow automation, digital workplace solutions and information management expertise. My first priority is to listen to our people, customers and partners, understand where we can have the greatest impact, and build on the strong foundation already in place.”
Tsuyoshi Kanda brings more than 25 years of experience with Konica Minolta and was most recently General Manager of Sales and Strategy at the company’s Digital Workplace Business Headquarters in Japan. In that role, he oversaw Konica Minolta’s printer and multifunction device business across Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Latin America. This experience has provided Kanda with a broad view of the needs of print customers, as well as organisations seeking more connected and secure digital workplaces. He has also held senior roles in supply chain management and spent nearly six years with Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., adding operational and market experience across several regions.
Kanda’s appointment comes as Konica Minolta Australia continues to build its capabilities across two important areas: helping commercial printers improve automation, efficiency and application opportunities; and helping organisations simplify workflows, strengthen information security and create more connected digital workplaces.
Yohei Konaka, outgoing MD, adds: “I’m proud of what we have achieved over the past six years. It would not have been possible without the dedication of our people, the trust of our customers and the strong partnerships we have across the industry. Tsuyoshi understands our business and global network, and his international experience will bring a valuable perspective as the company moves into its next phase. I am confident the company will continue to innovate, grow and create meaningful value for customers and the communities we serve.”
Konaka will remain in Australia for several months to support the transition and work closely with Tsuyoshi Kanda.
