Wednesday, 9 October 2019 PRINTING United visitors get first look at ONYX 19 and exclusive sneak preview of ONYX Hub 2.0 At the upcoming PRINTING United Expo, Onyx Graphics will be showcasing award-winning ONYX 19, which impressed booth visitors during FESPA Digital in Munich with the Spark Engine and DeviceLink+. In addition, PRINTING United attendees will get a sneak preview of ONYX Hub 2.0, the latest version release of the company’s business intelligence tool that brought real-time and historic print production data as well as actual job costs for better business decisions. The Spark Engine, exclusive to ONYX 19, produces massive increases in speed and performance including increased RIP speeds up to 400%, increased printer performance up to 200% and increased performance of Step and Repeat jobs up to 600%. DeviceLink+ is an all-new system of colour management controls for consistent colour output across any device and offers the ability to make profile changes such as ink savings without needing to build new ICC profiles. In addition, ONYX 19 is the only solution to provide iccMAX v5. profiling and new dot pattern technology for the smoothest output on any print application including soft-signage and textile. “ONYX 19 embodies the kind of speed and performance print shops have come to expect from ONYX software over the last 30 years,” said Bryan Manwaring, Director of Product Marketing at Onyx Graphics. “now with ONYX 19, print shops feel confident about their colour output across any device for any print application without extensive colour management training costs.” PRINTING United attendees will also get an exclusive sneak preview of ONYX Hub 2.0 which is set to be launched globally this Autumn. ONYX Hub first introduced business intelligence to wide-format print with an intuitive browser-based dashboard for ink and media waste as well as actual job costs to help answer questions such as “How profitable am I?” New for ONYX Hub 2.0 is secure-serve encryption and user management controls to protect sensitive print production data as well as streamlined job submission from one central location. “ONYX Hub gives us the tools to make business decisions on our workflows and job estimation,” said Geert Peeters of Dr. Sticker, located in the Netherlands. “It’s already improving our bottom line. We definitely feel the impact of ONYX Hub on our business.” Onyx Graphics is offering free attendance to PRINTING United to see a full demonstration of ONYX 19 and ONYX Hub 2.0 features, through their website events page: onyxgfx.com In addition to the Onyx Graphics booth, ONYX software will be driving printers in numerous partner booths around the show. PRINTING United (formerly known as SGIA Expo), owned and operated by SGIA in partnership with NAPCO Media, will be held at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Texas from 23 – 25 October 2019.
