The SP 1504 EA film technology has been under development for over five years, with the company focusing on replacing Premium Cast PVC and High-Performance Polymeric PVC films. A car wrapped in the new product was unveiled at the show, giving attendees a tangible demonstration of its suitability and performance. Product demonstrations are being held daily at the show. The new film addresses the pressing environmental concerns associated with traditional PVC films, with the company saying the product reflects Avery Dennison's commitment to sustainability and its ambition to achieve net zero by 2050. The SP 1504 Easy Apply RSTM boasts a 53% reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions compared to the Premium PVC equivalent, significantly lowering Avery Dennison's carbon footprint. Additionally, the film reduces volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and is free from chlorine, phthalates, and other harmful halogens, making it a safer choice for the environment and human health. "This is the first of its kind in Asia Pacific and Australia and New Zealand are leading the charge with this technology. This technology fits our market well. The market in Australia does a lot of vehicle wraps and corporate signage that require premium, durable film. The market is also at a state of maturity where it is wanting to take on sustainable solutions," says Jordan Leach, Business Director, Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions. Leach goes on to say “This innovative film technology maintains price parity with existing premium PVC products. Our value proposition is simple: we offer the same sustainable performance, the same sustainable print quality at the same sustainable price." The film is fully covered by Avery Dennison's market-leading ICS Warranty, providing peace of mind to users who demand reliability and durability.
