Ball & Doggett is taking IECHO’s digital cutting technology nationwide, expanding availability and support following the acquisition of Sign Essentials in Oct 2024.

Previously offered through Sign Essentials’ Queensland operations, IECHO’s flatbed cutters will now be distributed across Australia through Ball & Doggett’s well-established national distribution network, backed by a growing team of technical support staff.

“When we brought Sign Essentials into the business, it was clear that IECHO offered a strong and scalable technology platform,” said Rob Brussolo, General Manager of Sign Display and Digital at Ball & Doggett. “Extending that offering nationally was the obvious next move and the response so far has been very positive. We’re also investing heavily in building out our team of engineers to support the rollout across all states.”

Leading the line-up is the BK4 digital flatbed cutter, a versatile machine suited to cutting, creasing and routing a wide range of substrates. Designed for signage, packaging, label production and short-run displays, it’s seen as an ideal fit for print businesses entering or upgrading in digital finishing.

“The BK4 really hits the mark for sign shops,” said Brussolo. “It’s an affordable solution with an impressive level of automation, giving businesses a cost-effective path into high-quality digital cutting.”

At the high-performance end of the range, the SK2 is designed for industrial applications that demand both speed and accuracy. With advanced motion control and configurable tool heads, it’s built for non-stop production across a variety of materials.

“The SK2 is one of the fastest digital cutting tables in the market today,” Brussolo added. “It’s attracting interest from tier-one manufacturers who rely on speed, precision and uptime to meet their output targets.”

Ball & Doggett’s expanded support for IECHO comes at a time when more businesses are looking to automate finishing workflows. As turnaround expectations tighten and job types and sizes vary, advanced in-house cutting capabilities are fast becoming a necessity for signage producers.
