Epilog Laser releases updated FiberMark S2 small-format fibre laser

Industrial engraving shops looking to work with bare metals and plastics now have a one-machine solution with Epilog’s updated FiberMark S2. The first flying-optic fibre laser system ever developed, Epilog’s upgraded small-format fibre laser provides an affordable solution for etching and marking all types of bare metals and plastics in one machine.

With the ability to print directly to the laser from any graphics software, the 30 watt, 75 – 1200 dpi FiberMark S2 makes etching an entire table full of parts or labels at one time super simple.

Ideal applications include marking engineered plastics, etching barcodes, serial numbers and tool serialisation, traceability, electrical and industrial labelling.

The FiberMark S2 has the ability to

(1) etch almost any metal and mark many engineered plastics

(2) provide fast, accurate metal marking with its flying-optic beam delivery system;

(3) allow users to work on a larger area (610 x 305 x 140mm)

(4) allow users to send projects to the laser through a simple print driver, and to use the software of choice

(5) provide non-contact marking so that there is need to brace parts or replace expensive engraving bits or tools

(6) allow for easy access to the engraving table with its easy- access, drop-down door

(7) create multiple marks that fit individual needs with easy-to-use settings.

The FiberMark S2 is designed, engineered and manufactured at Epilog Lasers headquarters in the USA and is available in Australia exclusively through Alfex Laser.
