Gus Balbontin locked in again for FESPA conference
Billed as being ‘back by popular demand’, Gus Balbontin, who describes himself as an ‘alternative futurist’ has again been locked in for the upcoming FESPA Conference 2026 (Friday 16th October, Sydney’s Shangri-La Hotel).
Against the theme ‘Disrupt. Innovate. Lead.’, anyone who experienced Gus’ keynote address at the FESPA Conference 2024, will know that his refreshingly interactive delivery style will achieve all three of these objectives. Indeed, in its event promo, the organisers warn that ‘this is no sit-back-and-listen keynote…strap yourself as Gus takes you on a high-energy, thought-provoking journey designed to get you thinking differently and acting boldly: you won’t just hear Gus — you’ll experience him’.
Acting boldly is also exactly what to expect from FESPA’s leaders, with the recently announced cohort of the FESPA Leader’s Program due to participate in the conference immediately after the conclusion of their leadership course, appearing alongside their world renowned coach and mentor, Carl Harman.
Crowd favourite, comedian Sam McCool, has also again been booked to host the event, linking the various interactive discussions scheduled for the day, led by such industry experts as Andrew Butow, Co-Founder & Director of Earth2Mars, who will lead participants to solve tomorrow’s problems today. Other sessions will cover cross generational discussions – what we see that the other side doesn’t.
Over a short amount of time, the FESPA conference has quickly matured to be a key event for professionals in the print, signage, and graphic imaging sectors, serving as a hub for thought leadership, strategic dialogue, and industry networking. As always, the event is set to challenge delegates to embrace change, think differently and position their businesses for long-term success in a competitive marketplace.
FESPA Australia is also quick to acknowledge its conference sponsors, including Gold sponsors Durst Oceania and Easy Signs and Smartech, Silver sponsors IVE Group, Cactus Imaging and Mimaki and Bronze sponsors, Ball & Doggett, & HVG Graphics Media, with support too from Kissel & Wolf.
Whilst the event is selling fast, at the time of publishing, a handful of tickets were still available here .
