With a keen focus on Mimaki’s UV-DTF products, Melbourne-based Machines Plus has been announced as a new Mimaki distributor, further strengthening its position as a fabric, merchandise and decorative solution provider.
Gus Altmann, Managing Director Machines Plus, says: “We put considerable effort into understanding the products we sell and unique needs of the customers we deal with. We work with a select group of vendors who manufacture quality products and provide quality local support. We pick the best of these and apply our skills, service and support to deliver solutions that are optimised to user needs. We recently undertook a review and found some gaps in our line-up that Mimaki matched almost precisely. They produce some great equipment and with this appointment it will enable us to become a true one-stop shop.”
Hero-ing Machines Plus’ new lineup is the UJV300DTF-75, Mimaki’s dedicated UV-DTF printer. This machine opens new production opportunities for businesses wanting to decorate items that are difficult, time-consuming, or impractical to produce using conventional methods. From curved surfaces to irregular objects and ready-made products, UV-DTF gives customers a way to create cost-effective customised output with consistent quality and high value-add.
Altmann adds: “At Machines Plus, we have always believed the machine should suit the job, not the other way around. The Mimaki UJV300DTF-75 is a perfect example of this: it gives our customers access to a manufacturer-backed UV-DTF platform that fills a very real gap in the market.”
“With the wide format, industrial printing, textile, and specialty decoration markets growing, the addition of Mimaki’s UV-DTF solutions means we can say yes to more applications, more workflows, and more customer ideas.”
Machines Plus works with customers across Australia to provide practical, production-focused solutions across DTG, DTF, UV printing, dye sublimation, signage, heat transfer, apparel decoration, and specialty print applications. The company is built on a simple principle: supply the right machine for the right job, backed by real technical knowledge and long-term support. The company plans to integrate Mimaki products into their existing line-up, using the expanded range to provide a more comprehensive set of solutions that address an expanded set of customers.
