Pozitive move to acquire Melbourne premises

Basking in the success of acquiring its own facility in Sydney a few years ago, Pozitive Sign and Graphic Supplies has now decided to change up its Melbourne service capability as well, by moving out if its rented premises in Burwood and acquiring a modest footprint about half an hour away in Cheltenham ‘to service a growing customer base’.
Phil Trumble, Pozitive Sign And Graphic Supplies Managing Director, says: “Our Melbourne business has been growing year on year, and we recognised that now is a good time for us to purchase our own premises to further cement our presence in the market here too.”
“Whilst we are not planning to replicate our Emu Plains, Sydney facility at this stage, our new Melbourne facility will definitely complement what we do in New South Wales and with 300 square metres, it brings us almost twice the space we previously had in Melbourne.”
Pozitive first moved to Melbourne in 2018, previously servicing Melbourne customers from its Sydney HQ. Trumble recall: “We started with a BDM and shortly afterwards appointed a service technician. Since then the Melbourne team has grown, and we now have two sales staff and two service technicians.”
“The new premises will now provide us with a larger showroom to hold more live demonstrations and the ability to hold more stock for our clients to provide fast pick-up and delivery for ink, rolls of material, spare parts, and dye sublimation paper. We are also now in the market for another service technician in Victoria as we continue to grow and look for new ways to assist our valued customers.”
Pozitive represents several brands in the Australian market including swissQprint, Summa, DGI, and Felix Gluer, and is a sales and service agent for Epson, Mutoh, Roland DG, and Mimaki.
The company’s success is likely to be buoyed by the continuing international success of two of the key industry suppliers it represents. Summa recently unveiled its new F Series Vantage range, targeted at signage and visual display customers looking to expand their applications into more rigid materials, such as aluminium. Available in two size options, the F1625 (160x250cm) was recently named at FESPA as the best Wide Format digital cutting solution amongst the EDP Awards, with the company claiming that both tables – this one and the F1612 – will deliver 40% productivity gains thanks to the integration of a new 3.7kW high-frequency router and several tangential cutting modules. As for swissQprint, there is a reason the company markets its products against the line ‘Made for Winners – Loved by Thousands’.
