FUJIFILM Dimatrix adds PhaseMaster to its printhead family

FUJIFILM Dimatix, a leading global supplier of industrial drop-on-demand inkjet printheads for printing and manufacturing applications, has announced the latest addition to its STARFIRE® printhead family: the STARFIRE® PhaseMaster hot-melt inkjet printhead, engineered for demanding high-speed scanning and single-pass industrial systems.

Able to operate with or without ink recirculation, the PhaseMaster can be integrated into a range of high-performance printing platforms: its combination of jetting performance, productivity, and durability making it well suited for complex industrial and graphic arts applications, especially marking and coding, packaging, screen printing, additive manufacturing and printed electronics for etch-masking applications, such as photovoltaic cells.
PhaseMaster features include:
- 400dpi resolution with drop sizes of 30-200pL, depending on configuration
- integrated heater and temperature sensors to ensure optimal jetting conditions
- wide viscosity range of 8-20cP (10-14cP for maximum productivity)
- continuous operation at temperatures up to 257°F (125°C)
- VersaDrop® binary and grayscale jetting with an open, editable waveform utility
- compatibility with full-colour, monochrome, computer-to-screen, wax-based, and hot-melt ink applications, including single-pass coding and marking
- jet design featuring REDIJET® Energy Dissipation technology for sustained, high-quality output, with durability supported by FUJIFILM Dimatix bulk PZT actuators insulated from direct contact with fluids
- REDIJET® Dual Recirculation for reliable jetting
- multi-pulse jetting at up to 30kHz, delivering speeds exceeding 60meters per minute
- high ink-laydown capability of nearly 57grams per square metre
FUJIFILM Dimatix is currently working with select strategic partners to bring STARFIRE® PhaseMaster-based products to market and the printhead is expected to be available globally from early 2027.
