EFI VUTEk® M3h X takes centre stage at PRINTING United Expo

First seen at FESPA Barcelona, it is now the turn of the US audience to see the EFI VUTEk® M3h X true hybrid flatbed/roll-fed LED printer in action. A super-wide printer which Currie Group’s Paul Whitehead says ‘offers users several more high-value applications and will be of particular interest to printers who are looking to really step up their volumes and turnaround times’.
Claiming to handle rigid and flexible substrates, ‘without compromising quality or performance’, the M3h X prints on board, sheet, or roll-to-roll printing on media up to 2 inches thick in one footprint, with fast changeover times. It also benefits from EFI’s advanced inks and low-VOC, low-energy LED technology and has a magnetic linear drive, which enables better drop placement for precision printing with 7pL/14pL grayscale printheads and up to 2,400dpi resolution.

The EFI VUTEk FabriVU 340 i8 dye-sublimation printer with inline fixation, is also making its debut in the North American market. Designed to meet the colour-fidelity demands of retail, event, and branded environments with eight-colour printing – CMYK Orange, Blue, and a choice of two light inks – the FabriVU 340 i8 printer delivers high speeds and features inline fixation and advanced media control to print directly to a wide range of polyester-based materials and sublimate in a single step.
Ken Hanulec, EFI Vice President, Worldwide Marketing, says: “Along with the new printers and enhanced capabilities that we are bringing to the show, we are also excited to be showing textile samples – including samples from the new EFI Reggiani ecoDenim solution, babywear, non-woven fabrics, fashion accessories and more – and samples produced on our EFI Nozomi single-pass digital inkjet press, optimised for both signs and display graphics as well as traditional corrugated packaging applications.”
Visitors to EFI’s PRINTING United Expo stand will also be able to see the EFI VUTEk X5r 5.2-meter roll-to-roll LED printer, built for high-volume production of indoor and outdoor sign and display applications, and the EFI VUTEk Q3h XP high-performance hybrid LED printer in a new seven-colour configuration. A 65-inch-wide EFI Pro 16h+ printer will be running on the LexJet stand and Nazdar SourceOne will be running the 3.2-meter EFI Pro 30h+ hybrid printer.
