Signage Panel at PacPrint 2025: Ensuring Compliance with Proper Licensing

PacPrint 2025, co-located with Visual Impact, will host an essential Signage Panel as part of its Seminar Forum. The panel will tackle a critical issue in the signage industry: licensing compliance for sign installers. Titled “Sign Installers—Make Sure You’re Properly Licensed,” this expert-led discussion will take place during PacPrint 2025, offering invaluable insights into the legal and operational requirements for signage professionals.

With licensing requirements varying from state to state across Australia, staying compliant can be a complex challenge. However, failure to adhere to proper licensing regulations can lead to severe financial penalties, legal consequences, and even jail time. The Australian Sign & Graphics Association (ASGA) has assembled a powerhouse panel of industry experts to address this crucial issue and ensure businesses are fully informed.

“Signage licensing laws are strict, and they differ across states, which makes it difficult for businesses always to know if they are compliant,” says Mick Harrold, ASGA President.

“It’s absolutely vital for anyone installing signage or overseeing installation to have the correct license to operate. Non-compliance doesn’t just put businesses at risk—it can personally impact individuals with serious legal consequences.”

Drawing insights from the recent Building Licensing Webinar, the panel, consisting of Harrold, Damian Nielsen, Vice President and ASGA Queensland Chair, and expert guest Charl Taylor, Director of CI-Advantage, will provide practical guidance on state-by-state licensing variations. They will also answer commonly asked questions and give attendees the knowledge needed to protect their businesses.
