Role: Production Manager

We are seeking a dynamic Production Manager for our production and post production operations. Working in a small but experienced team, you will need to be hands on in the day to day manufacture of our products, production and post production/finishing, while at the same time overseeing general production operations. This makes for an interesting, busy and diverse role, with scope for role development into a more hands off management role as the business continues to grow.  Working with cutting edge print technology and premium supplies, we produce high quality products for a wide range of markets across Australia. Our business has been around for over 35 years so we have a loyal customer base, a growing business and we are located in one of the most desirable places to live in Australia, Byron Bay, Northern NSW.

We are happy to train someone who has the right enthusiasm and match for our business, but you must have the following essential skills:

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • 3-5 years experience with digital printing
  • Previous management or coordination role in manufacturing/printing
  • Be familiar with Adobe suite

Essential Qualities:

  • We are looking for a go getter who is not afraid to be hands on

Salary: Negotiable, dependant on experience

Tasks & responsibilities

We are a small team, so your day to day role is very much dictated by our workload, this makes the role interesting, and means you can expect to be involved in all facets of the production of our products.

  • Oversee the production of orders, from printing, to post production and despatch
  • Operate and maintain digital printing machinery with pre-production staff
  • Liaise with general manager and preproduction staff to develop and prioritise production schedule and meet deadlines
  • Organise, plan, order, and where needed, manufacture hardware in house
  • Oversee and be involved with post production/finishing of work (including guillotining, punch, cleaning, packaging)
  • Manage and co-ordinate production staff
  • Conduct quality inspections and ensure quality standards are met
  • Uphold a high standard of Work, Health and Safety requirements
  • Work cooperatively with all team members, be a good communicator and easy to work with
