New Concept Sign (NCC) is a professional supplier of large format digital printing materials and banner display accessories with distribution centre in Chester Hill NSW 2162. NCC provides local inventory and on-site service to clients national wide. Our large product range covers nearly all the flexible print media types and the digital print technologies. Now we are looking for a highly motivated sales representative to sell our products to large format digital printers, sign shops and signwriters in Northern Sydney area up to Newcastle.

About the role 

  • Explore business development opportunities and potential clients, including but not limited to printers and sign shops
  • Recommend and take part in selection of product lines by analyzing market trends and needs of clients
  • Sales of large format digital printing media and banner display accessories 
  • Follow up after sales service, collect feedback from clients and make suggestion to management
  • Maintain and manage the existing client base

Key Requirements:

• Strong proven experience in the signage and graphics industries and sound knowledge about different kind of large format digital printing materials, including Vinyl, Lamination, Banner, Photo Paper, Canvas, Portable Display Stand (not a must be) and so on

• Also suitable for a sign maker or digital print operator wanting to get into sales. Industry experience in sign making, sign sales, large format printing and finishing is an advantage

• Willing to take initiative steps to approach new clients

• Self motivation with the ability to work autonomously and unsupervised. This is an outside sales rep job

• Hold valid full driver license and a reliable motor vehicle; A medium size vehicle such as SUV would be an advantage

• Australian citizen or permanent resident or New Zealand citizen

Responsibilities: This excellent position awaits the right person to join our creative and stable team. This role will require you to:

  1. Oversee the completion of all new and ongoing web projects
  2. Create new web sites as required by management and authorised parties directly approved by Mr David Berry
  3. Develop new feature and preform ongoing maintenance on all our existing eCommerce and In-House web site
  4. You will be an excellent people manager and possess great written and verbal communication skills.

You must have the ability to be able to adhere to agreed timelines and manage/encourage up-to-date web design and development. You will be required to possess extensive office, project management and design software skills in relationship to our Web Sites as our role.

Primary Duties preferably in:

  • Adobe Suite of design tools
  • Corel Design Tools
  • High level proficiency in using content management systems – in preference CA, WP or other quality CMS web tools
  • Possessing up to date skills in marketing, branding and awareness using Social media platforms including but not limited to FaceBook, Instagram, LinkedIN.
  • Proven track record in SEO content development and implementation.
  • Microsoft Office ® or Office 365 ® skills and be required to compose content for the web site from time to time based on informal discussion with management and authorised others.
  • Possess competency in the collation of all required data, photos, content, the use of SEO functions and develop the required outcomes.
  •  Use our database to create a job for the in-house web sites when needed.
  • You will possess the ability/desire to learn all aspects of the signage and display industry.
  • Be participative in Web Design meetings and Development taking the lead role in the concept through to publishing and ongoing maintenance and fine tuning of each site in our portfolio
  • The management of the project will be your responsibility as a visual scheduling method to the management approval.
  • Liaise and maintain our relationship with our overseas CMS provider including development documentation to mutual benefits
  • Maintaining and building relationship with owner, stakeholders and existing CMS system developer.
  • Existing company web sites maintenance, update reviews and regular marketplace audits to ensure web site effectiveness.
  • Ensure all passwords, back of house documentation and descriptions and created to provide long term guarantee of minimum downtime. This includes written logs, backup website copies and all protocols require ensuring highest level security and hacker resistance
  • Continuing your professional develop opportunities can be discussed as the need arises

Secondary Duties will be as below and as required while similar and not limited to the following list.

  • When and if time permits assist with graphic design skills if an absence in our main design team is required for a minor short term assistance.
  • Ability to work within a friendly team environment and autonomously as well
  • Skills in Photography an advantage
  • Daily, weekly or as require meetings with directors and relevant team members
  • Ability /desire to learn all aspects of signage and display industry in relation to your actions of web site and social media promotional activities.
  • Offer input and suggest improving the CMS, Marketing AND operational systems, processes and policies
  • Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of support services
  • Drive initiatives in the team & streamline procedures that contribute to long-term operational excellence.
  • Present compliance feedback from completed projects in staff meetings.
  • Liaise with our web or relevant suppliers
  • High level computer literacy a must
  • Experience and confidence in using CMS/CRM/Custom databases
  • Ability to review and revise the companies needs regarding your department i.e. Web development and design
  • Refine, repair and develop 6+ existing sites and new planned sites
  • Building several new websites planned over the forthcoming years.
  • Ensure all owner requirements are discussed and managed to provide best services and solutions to online customers
  • Identification of SEO and Social media requirements current and future.
  • Previous experience in a similar or allied roles an advantage.

Following skill and experiences are required for the successful applicant:

  • 3 - 5 years of web site design, web site development or web site administration in a B2B environment.
  • Background in design of web sites with appropriate tertiary certification.
  • Appropriate Content Management Software (CMS), design and or web development software – all our web sites are built as a family of sites in a premium CMS program.
  • Telephone and communication skills and a desire to focus on the owner requirements and business needs.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Web experience essential and with signage and printing industries is an advantage, but not essential
  • Focused solution oriented approach to the web sites needs analysis, web design and development expertise. While understanding the needs to web development and design with a emphasis of ease of maintenance.
  • Ambition - a drive to exceed expectation
  • General business computing skills are a minimum requirement
  • Excellent time management and able to meet deadline under pressure when required.
  • Ability to work within a friendly team environment and autonomously as well
  • Possessing a friendly and positive attitude with a focus on quality results.
  • Ensure web site administration is documented, recorded and logged.
  • Ongoing development of all company web sites to be completed accurately and professionally in a timely manner.
  • Content creation and image management of all web site files and data in line with our methods.
