Visual Connections requests industry support for bushfire crisis

Peter Harper, CEO, Visual Connections Australia is encouraging the industry to help bushfire victims in any way possible.

“Like most of Australia, the team at Visual Connections has been watching the unfolding bushfire crisis across many parts of Australia with alarm and hope that you and your team are safe. Like many of you, we have friends and colleagues who are caught up in these events and we remain concerned for the wellbeing of all involved and keen to do what we can to assist,” he says.

“While it is early days, and the priority at this stage is the protection of life and property and the provision of basic necessities, we are of course aware that there will be many of our industry businesses affected who, in the short to medium term, will be considering how to move forward.

“We are currently investigating the best way to support these businesses but, in the meantime, would like to collect and promote any initiatives from our members, or the wider industry, which may assist our industry colleagues to ride out this crisis and get back on their feet,” adds Peter.

For reference, Visual Connections has complied a basic list of organisations that are assisting with the first stage of response, as well as helplines to assist people in dealing with the crisis. The story can be found at:

Any assistance is welcome, and may include:

- Showroom resources available for use

- Prioritisation of orders made on insurance claims

- Loan equipment

- Fast track’ of supplies or consumables

- Extended terms or deals for fire-affected businesses

“We will keep you posted as we progress with our plans, but in the meantime encourage you to share your own initiatives with us so that we can amplify your efforts and ensure we get behind as many affected businesses as possible,” concludes Peter.
