Monday, 20 January 2020 Orafol owner Dr Holger Loclair inducted into Handelsblatt Hall of Fame Orafol’s managing director and owner, Dr Holger Loclair has been inducted into the Handelsblatt Hall of Fame of Family-owned Enterprises. Hosted by German newspaper Handelsblatt, the award ceremony was held in Munich and honours the outstanding performance of German entrepreneurs. Holger started his career as a young chemist in the research and development department of what was then VEB Specialty Paint in Oranienburg. It was privatised as Orafol in 1991. Today Orafol has 1,080 employees in Oranienburg alone. This makes Orafol the largest employer in the district town. Worldwide, the company has grown to approximately 2,500 employees. Since the launch of the Hall of Fame in 2009, today's successful businessmen as well as the most influencing posthumous entrepreneurial personalities have received their well-deserved place in the Hall of Fame of Family-owned Enterprises.
