The association has launched a register where businesses can find a variety of assistance and support options. Linking to the registry, the association posted a call to the industry on its LinkedIn Page, saying, “The past couple of years we have lurched from fires to pandemics and now flooding across many areas of Australia. If you or your business has been affected, we're here to lend a hand. You can go to our online Register for Assistance any time to see what supports your suppliers can offer or contact them directly to explain what you need.” On a supporting webpage, the association says that the Visual Connections Board and the team have watched with concern the unfolding flood crisis, particularly in the country’s east. Like many in the industry, they too have friends, family and colleagues caught up in these events and remain concerned for the well-being of all involved. They are also conscious that many businesses will be adversely affected by the floods, and the Board and team stand ready to assist. The association has published a register of members who are willing to collaborate and share resources with other members at this time. If any struggling business needs assistance, the Visual Connections Members on the register have offered to help during this difficult time. Support on the register varies from practical, such as expanded stock holding, to some suppliers offering the use of their showrooms to complete jobs.
