FESPA Australia Future leaders attend FESPA Munich

Graduates of the 2022 FESPA Australia Future Leaders Program have travelled to Munich to attend the FESPA Global Print Expo, a first for four of the five-member group, which includes Troy Cavanagh, Sales Manager ImageBox Group; Pranil Chandra, Head of Sales, Next Printing; Aaron Grigg, Operations Manager, Blair Signs and Safety/Mackay Signs and Stickers; Bianca Martin, Commercial Manager, IVE Group; Glenn Moffat, Production Manager Cactus Imaging.

As part of the event, Troy Cavanagh FESPA Australia’s Inaugural Future Leader, as voted by his peers, presented his views on the future of leadership to the FESPA Secretaries Meeting, a forum for the the 37 member countries.

The day-long meeting is where the Associations discuss FESPA business plans and initiatives and share best practices, such as FESPA Australia’s Future Leaders Program. “The audience was highly engaged and interested in what we are doing in Australia” says Troy. “It was valuable to meet so many people from different countries with a variety of backgrounds and to hear of their solutions to the same challenges we are facing in terms of shortage of skilled labour, stock availability and increasing cost of production, Troy observes.

Bianca Martin, recently appointed to the FESPA Australia board, says, “This is my first FESPA trip, and it is highly productive to evaluate the latest innovations in print, finishing and software all in one place,” a common theme amongst the group. All leaders valued meeting people from different countries and companies and learning from their experiences. Development in workflow and artificial intelligence were topics of interest as well as the desire to understand more about current developments in sustainability.

I have always been a strong believer in the power of these events and the learning and networking opportunities that being a member of FESPA provides. I am impressed by the new ideas and energy the 2022 future leaders bring to the table and look forward to watching them take the industry to the next level. I am also pleased to announce that we will hold the FESPA Australia Future Leaders Program again in  2023 and encourage business owners to nominate people from their businesses”, concludes Nigel.
