Queensland Print & Prosecco Event next week, free tickets for Apprentices

Women in Print has confirmed tickets are still available for next week's Queensland Print & Prosecco event—an event for women in the printing and associated industries. Set to take place in Brisbane on 22 November, hosted by MCC Labels in Queensland, this gathering provides a unique opportunity for women to connect, network, and celebrate their contributions to a dynamic and diverse sector.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their teammates and co-workers for an informal evening of networking and socialising, highlighting the close-knit community within the industry.

The evening promises Prosecco, finger food and an interesting speaker; the ticket price is $25 per person. Attendees also have the chance to win exciting lucky door prizes.

The guest speaker for the night is Penny Ellenger, from The Advisory Board Centre, who will share insights on 'How to get the most out of your LinkedIn profile and raise your networking to new heights!'

Additionally, the industry associations Visual Connections and the Visual Media Association (formerly PVCA) are sponsoring free tickets for Signs and Graphics apprentices and Print and Prepress apprentices, respectively, demonstrating their commitment to supporting the next generation of industry professionals.

“We are pleased to be able to provide support to the female apprentices across the signage and display sector as they embark on their journey in the print industry. This event promises to be a fantastic networking opportunity for them, enabling them to connect with seasoned professionals and other women who share their passion for print,” said Sarah Moore, General Manager of Visual Connections.

Kellie Northwood, CEO of the Visual Media Association added, “Celebrating the diversity of our industry is not just a goal; it's an imperative. Supporting female apprentices to engage with their industry peers is a cornerstone of our commitment to equality and progress.”

Any apprentices who wish to attend and take up the offer should contact Women in Print Treasurer Stephanie Gaddin via the association’s email [email protected].

Women in Print says the event promises to be a memorable evening of professional networking.
