Volunteers needed for Sign & Print Career Connections Program at Victorian Careers Expo

The official launch of the Sign & Print Career Connections program will take place at the Victorian Careers Expo from 14-16 March, heralding the industry-wide initiative to attract fresh talent to the sector.

Having undergone successful pilot phases in recent years, the program is expanding to a broader cross-section of the industry with the support of industry associations such as FESPA Australia, the Flexible Packaging & Label Manufacturer’s Association (FPLMA), LIA Australia, Visual Media Association (VMA) and The Australian Sign & Graphics Association (ASGA).

ASGA has confirmed the initiative will kick off at the Victorian Careers & Employment Expo, hosted at the Melbourne Showgrounds, from March 14 to 16, 2024.

The stand aims to provide an immersive experience for expo attendees by featuring engaging 'try-a-trade' activities in collaboration with sponsors and staffed by the AusSIP team.

ASGA has called for industry volunteers to join the trade show team to ensure a well-rounded perspective. It is seeking people who can contribute their real-world insights, adding substantial value for students exploring career options in the print, sign, and graphics sectors.

Prospective volunteers are encouraged to contact Tina Mavris or John Watters from AusSIP. The call-out extends beyond the Melbourne Expo to industry and businesses nationwide. This collaborative effort promises to bridge the gap between industry professionals and aspiring talents, fostering a dynamic future for the print, sign, and graphics sector.
