ASGA President Mick Harrold says that providing these resources is a significant investment for the Association but is necessary to help members save time, reduce risk, and build their business success. “These important resources allow Members to go forward with confidence as they employ new workers, manage workplace issues, and put policies and procedures in place for their business,” he says, adding that the online resources are backed by the Member-only advice hotline, which allows them free access to advice about legal or workplace issues. “We’re excited to release these updated resources and would urge all our Members to make use of the extensive online resources, as well as all of their other Member benefits.” The new resources include: Employment Information Guide 2024-25 - a comprehensive guide to help you determine the right Award and employee classification level and guide everything from wages to leave allowances, bullying, terminations, redundancies, and much more. Awards Rates - new rates for key Awards, applicable from 1 July 2024 NEW legal documents including business checklists, business planning, contractors, employee letters, employee procedures, policies and WHS documents. NEW employment contracts and business templates for full-time, part-time and casual positions in admin, sales, graphic design, sign making and installing. NEW Independent Contractor Assessment guide to help navigate the changes to definitions of employee which were part of the recent Closing Loopholes amendments to the Fair Work Act. The latest suite of exclusive Member Resources, including legal documents and other resources, have been uploaded to the ASGA website and can now be accessed through the Association’s exclusive Member Area.
