Janet / Friday, 22 November 2024 / Categories: Latest News, Latest News - AUS only ASGA adds 400+ WH&S Resources for Members ASGA has announced an update to its online suite of business resources, adding a wide range of WH&S documents. This gives ASGA Members access to important resources to assist with compliance and ensure better business practices. More than 410 documents have been added to Member resources, including policies, procedures, checklists, and forms covering a wide variety of topics and situations, from SWMS, JSA, emergency planning, and provisions to meeting agendas, health and safety compliance checklists, and motor vehicle logs. There are also more than 270 procedure documents for a comprehensive range of equipment and tools, including topics such as welding and cutting, working at heights, and using safety harnesses. Damian Nielsen, Member & Events Manager for ASGA, says the expanded resources are made possible by ASGA’s new partnership with Advanced Safety Systems Australia (ASSA), with the assurance that ASSA will ensure that the entire suite of documents is kept up to date, and also expanded over time. “Through this partnership, ASSA has provided the most current and comprehensive range of WH&S resources that have ever been provided for ASGA members, all supplied and validated by ASSA to current standards,” Neilsen says. “ASSA is part of a family-owned business with more than 50 years shaping Australia's workplace safety sector. For many years, the company specialised in industrial signage and became of the largest and most trusted partners for meeting signage obligations, so they understand our market well. “Today, their compliance management system is Australia's leading WH&S compliance solution, with a suite of tools, resources and services which take the hassle out of WHS/OHS compliance for thousands of businesses,” he says. These WH&S resources add to the Legal and HR templates available to ASGA Members. Australian Business Lawyers & Advisors (ABLA) provides the legal documents, which include a comprehensive employment guide and contractor and employee agreements. The documents are supported by the ASGA Workplace Advice Line, which provides members with access to ABLA's workplace relations and employment law specialists. These specialists answer questions and provide general advice on minimising legal risks and managing legal obligations. “ASGA is constantly working to provide signage and graphics companies in Australia with the widest range of resources possible to help them navigate compliance issues and legal obligations and build stronger and more successful businesses,” Nielsen says. ASGA Members can access the document in the Member area at signs.org.au. Select 'Work Health Safety' from the left-hand menu.
