Epson expands the SureColor G-series with SureColor G9060

Epson has introduced the first expansion of its SureColor G-Series wide-format dedicated direct-to-film (DTFilm) printer line, the SureColor G9060. Designed to keep DTFilm production moving, the SureColor G9060 is engineered for reliable, non-stop performance, consistent colour and minimal maintenance so garment producers and print shop owners can focus on creating high-quality apparel and merchandise.

Featuring production print speeds, print flexibility and automated maintenance features, the 64-inch SureColor G9060 has been engineered from the ground up for direct-to-film applications and joins its smaller sibling, the popular SureColor G6060. 

Designed to meet the requirements of garment creators and merchandise manufacturers, the SureColor G9060 expands on Epson’s extensive range of fabric printers. Aimed at volume production, it has been designed to deliver consistent, high-quality output with low running costs, minimal maintenance, and a high duty cycle.

The SureColor G9060 gets jobs out the door fast, with high-speed throughput, without sacrificing colour accuracy and detail. Touting a user-replaceable PrecisionCore Micro TFP printhead, Nozzle Verification Technology and UltraChrome DF inks, it delivers consistent, repeatable colour without constant oversight. With a large-capacity sealed-ink-pack system and roll-printing flexibility, the SureColor G9060 is ideal for high-volume printing, oversized graphics, and large transfer orders. Leveraging automated maintenance routines to reduce downtime and user-friendly controls, it’s built to support long-run productions and keep print shops running smoothly around the clock.

With its advanced DTFilm capabilities, the SureColor G9060 makes it easier than ever to customise garments and accessories, enabling vibrant imaging across a broader range of materials and opening new opportunities for growth in the textile sector.

Garment manufacturers seeking a dedicated DTFilm production system can now easily and cost-effectively create custom workwear and teamwear. They can produce events and show merchandise alongside value-added clothing and a wide range of other items, including coasters, umbrellas, notepads and binders.

The SureColor G9060 features a convenient bulk-ink management design with all-front-loading consumables. It supports film rolls up to 1626 mm in length and 250 mm wide. And by also incorporating an auto-cutter for sheet-based production, it can be used ‘in-line’ with a range of third-party powder shaker/oven machines for roll-based production.

The 2.64” PrecisionCore Micro TFP printhead supports print speeds up to approximately 32 sqm/hr in colour + white. Epson’s Nozzle Verification Technology (ink-less nozzle status monitoring), auto-head cleaning, auto cap-cleaning and continuous white-ink recirculation ensure consistent high-quality output with maximum productivity and minimum waste.

The printer uses 1.6 L UltraChrome DF ink packs that are cost-effective to order, easy to agitate, and quick and mess-free to load. Epson Precision Dot image processing ensures the SC-G9060 can produce accurate, consistent prints with bright colours and an enhanced gamut.
 
The SC-G9060 has been purpose-built for fast and efficient production. It is designed to operate with minimal operator oversight and minimal manual maintenance. It takes only a few minutes each week to ensure smooth, reliable operation. It features a high duty cycle and ships with a comprehensive warranty that covers the printhead. Service cover can be extended with CoverPlus for up to 5 years at a low total cost of ownership.  

Finally, the printer features integrated support for Epson’s Cloud Solution PORT service2. This free web-based service can be accessed on desktop PCs for direct management, as well as on Android and iOS devices for remote monitoring. The PORT service provides advanced reporting and costing tools while enabling enhanced support and service to maximise uptime.

The SureColor G9060 will be available in Australia from mid-2026, and in New Zealand shortly after.
