Comedian and media personality Dave Thornton to host National Print Awards during Pacprint 2021

The celebration of the National Print Awards, planned to be held during Pacprint 2021 on the evening of Thursday 30 September, has been boosted with the announcement that popular comedian and media personality, Dave Thornton will host the presentations.

The glittering presentation dinner presented by the Print & Visual Communications Association (PVCA) will be held at the glamorous Melbourne Room 1 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Already it is expected to draw a crowd of hundreds and now, that enthusiasm is set to rise with the announcement of the popular and entertaining Thornton as host.

As well as live shows, Thornton’s credentials include Network Ten’s Hughesy We Have a Problem, the AFL quiz show The Beep Test on Fox Footy, and regular appearances as a co-host on The Project. He has also acted in Channel Nine’s House Husbands and ABC TV’s Upper Middle Bogan and spent four years co-hosting Fox FM’s breakfast radio show alongside Fifi Box and Brendan Fevola.

Walter Kuhn, President of the PVCA, says securing Dave Thornton as the evening’s master of ceremonies is a ‘coup’ for the event.

“We are very much looking forward to gathering as an industry to celebrate the achievement of excellence in print and recognise the people and businesses who are leading the way in our industry, and absolutely delighted that Dave has agreed to MC the celebrations,” he says.

“The evenings will be a real celebration of our industry’s resilience and commitment over the past 12 months, and a great chance to get together with colleagues and friends from across the industry for a night of fine dining and fun.”
