Thursday, 24 February 2022 Epson to showcase sustainability in textile and fabric Epson has announced it will showcase its efforts to enhance sustainability in the fashion and apparel industry at Sustainable Brands 2022 Yokohama (SB’22). SB’22 is a hybrid international conference held both online and at the Pacifico Yokohama North on February 24 and 25. SB'22 Yokohama will be the fifth time Epson has been featured at a Sustainable Brands conference. Concurrently, Sustainable Brands Asia-Pacific, the first multilateral conference, will be held in Korea, Malaysia, and Thailand. Each of the conferences provides participants with an opportunity to highlight their sustainability efforts to build and promote engagement. Epson will have delegates in three program items across the conference. Global president Yasunori Ogawa will give a speech entitled "Epson's Sustainability Vision and Initiatives to Solve Societal Issues." In this, he will highlight value propositions addressing societal issues and explain how Epson seeks to build co-creation relationships. Panellists, including a designer, a fashion coordinator, an apparel production control system provider, and representatives from the Japanese Ministry of the Environment, a printing company and Epson, will discuss in various breakout sessions their multiple perspectives on the theme of "The future of sustainable fashion using digital technologies." And finally, in the Activation Hub, Epson will demonstrate its collaboration with Japanese designer Yuima Nakazato through a pop-up shop exhibit showcasing his latest sustainable fashion designs printed using Epson inkjets and shop designs using projection technology to reduce environmental impact.
