Wednesday, 30 November 2022 NSW custom neon sign company makes AFR Fast Starters List Founded in 2019, Kings of Neon has grown so rapidly in the last three years that they have been listed in the AFR Fast Starters list. From crashing a Gary Vaynerchuck event with a custom NEON sign to winning work at the Indianapolis 500, founder Stephen Pastor does what it takes to drive the business forward after his events company had to close due to the pandemic. Eyeing growth in the US market, the company provides a “Create your own” option on its website, which allows buyers to write their own text and have it turned into a neon sign. Speaking to the AFR, the company says 80 per cent of their business is in Australia and 20 per cent in the USA. However, they expect the USA to rapidly overtake their local orders. Pastor positions the company as a leading provider of neon signage in several English-speaking countries. US Orders include work for the NFL draft, events company Live Nation, and a six-figure order for the Lollapalooza music festival. While their core market is still small businesses, they have done work for Adidas and Twitter. The company also encourages and mentors its talent, with Pastor telling the AFR, “We’re a big believer in growing the team from the bottom up. We bring on a lot of trainees and they will lead new markets in the future.” Previous Article Visual Impact Sydney registrations open Next Article PVCA to host briefing for incoming IR legislation If you have a news story, or story about an interesting project or installation please contact [email protected] Sign up to Image Magazine Newsletter.
