Friday, 19 May 2023 Record attendance at this week’s Women in Print Breakfast Series The Women in Print Breakfast Series for 2023 kicked off this week and has broken attendance records in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. “The Women in Print program this year is focussed on communication across genders in the workplace; given that research indicates this is the greatest impact on female advancement across their careers, I am excited to learn about Danielle Dobson’s sharing of knowledge across the topic. In regard to ticket purchases, the Patrons work very hard each year to promote the events in partnership with our sponsors, and I cannot thank the patrons and partners enough, all of whom have supported the series this year. It is a not-for-profit program with a volunteer Board and Patrons, and the women across the industry gain so much from these events and the community as a whole,” commented Kellie Northwood, Chief Executive Officer, Print & Visual Communication Association and Secretariat of Women in Print. Noting the increased number of women attending across the country from sign display and textile industries, Northwood added, “We are delighted to welcome more of our colleagues from the sign and display industry in this year’s events; compared to previous years, as we work on expanding the diversity program to reach as many future leaders as possible.” Digital Image Magazine and Textile Image Magazine are proud sponsors of the Women in Print Breakfast Series. The keynote speaker for the 2023 Breakfast Series is Danielle Dobson from Code Conversations, who explored how we can best break the gender code and communicate for optimal outcomes. Attendees in Melbourne noted that the session was impactful and practically applicable in many ways, with some additionally stating that the session resonated with them deeply.
