Women in Print Board supports Share the Dignity at Visual Impact

Women in Print Australia hosted a networking drinks function at Visual Impact in Brisbane last week. The event doubled as a fundraiser for Share the Dignity in the lead-up to the charity’s August Dignity Drive. Attendees at the event included the entire National Board of Women in Print, several women from print and signage shops across Brisbane and exhibitors from the show floor. The event followed the 2024 AGM of Women in Print.

A Share the Dignity collection box was filled with donations on the night, with various period and incontinence products and baby care products, which are provided to new mothers by Share the Dignity.

Stephanie Gaddin, Chair of Women in Print, gave a short welcome to all, thanking the Event Backers, Lettertech and Bounce LED for generously sponsoring the catering and drinks for the evening.

Gaddin also announced a giveaway sponsored by HP targeting female commercial print operators working on HP Indigo Digital presses.

Craig Walmsley, ANZ Country Manager for HP Industrial Print, said the company was delighted to partner with Women in Print to support the industry’s women by providing the opportunity to attend DScoop.

“While our industry has come a long way in achieving more gender balance and inclusivity, there is still a lot of work to be done to ensure that we are developing our people across the entire talent pool, and we are excited to be working with Women in Print to help address the imbalance and promote women’s careers,” he said.

“This opportunity to attend the APJ Dscoop event in Cebu will allow a female operator from the local industry to network with industry leaders, experts and professionals to explore how creativity can revolutionise every aspect of print by exploring creative opportunities that will help businesses differentiate, connect with customers and leverage new and emerging technologies.”
