Tuesday, 14 January 2025 swissQprint launches new Generation 5 flatbed models swissQprint has announced the release of Generation 5 of its flatbed printers, with a reworked platform of new models 23% faster than their predecessors and ten (10) freely configurable colour channels. “Our flatbed Generation 5 is based on the same robust platform as the successful high-end Kudu model, which has proven itself worldwide over the past two years,” says Carmen Eicher, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at swissQprint. Over 100 satisfied customers have already experienced the platform’s performance, profitability and reliability. “With the new range and the performance spread between the respective models, we are appealing to an even broader customer base,” The new Nyala 5 and Impala 5, along with the Kudu, form a line-up that offers a top speed of 341 sqm/h. Eicher points out, “We have always pursued a combination of performance with high output quality, and the new printers are exemplary of that.” The Generation 5 flatbeds are based on a wholly reworked machine concept with new electronics and software. A key feature is the newly designed printer base, which provides exceptional robustness and, the company says, sets a new standard for precision. Additionally, the printers are equipped with linear motors that enhance printing performance, delivering greater accuracy and increased speed. “With the latest print heads and a resolution of 1350 dpi, the new generation delivers outstanding print quality,” continues Eicher. “These flatbed printers also offer limitless versatility with their ten freely configurable colour channels. In addition to light colours and white, there are spot colours such as neon or orange and effect varnish and primer to extend the range of applications.” As with the previous models and other products, the Generation 5 models will come with swissQprint’s 3-year (36-month) factory warranty. Phil Trumble, managing director of Pozitive sign & graphic supplies, has confirmed the newly launched Nyala 5 will be on show for the Australian market at PacPrint25 in May.
