GJS and Liquid Lens Add Roland BN2-20 to Doming Solutions

Liquid Lens and its Australian distributor, GJS Group Australia, have introduced the Roland DG BN2-20A printer/cutter into its domed resin printing lineup and doming starter kit offerings. This compact and versatile machine enhances precision and efficiency for businesses in the doming and graphics production industries.

Doming is a process that applies a thick polyurethane resin layer to non-porous surfaces. The result is a glossy, 3D effect that looks great and lasts. It’s ideal for labels, badges, and promotional products, adding a premium touch while making them scratch-resistant and tough.

“The Roland DG BN range of printers has easily been one of the most popular printers we have,” says Greg Stone, managing director of GJS Group Australia. “So, it makes sense that we should partner its newest and more advanced product, the BN2-20A, with the Liquid Lens solution, providing customers with faster production, easy-to-use features, low maintenance and intuitive software,” Stone added.

GJS is the exclusive Australian distributor of Liquid Lens and an authorised Roland DG reseller. This collaboration will provide printers with a practical way to enhance product appeal with durable, high-quality finishes.

GJS offers a complete range of doming tools and materials, including:
•    Easyflow resin cartridges, nozzles, mixers, and print media are all designed to make doming straightforward and reliable.
•    Doming hardware like starter kits for beginners, applicator guns for higher productivity, and semi-automatic machines for small to medium runs.
•    Roland printer/cutters, including the BN2-20, work seamlessly with doming for clean, precise results.

The Roland DG BN2-20A’s cut-before-print technology allows for printing and cutting without waiting for the ink to dry, ensuring clean, sharp results suitable for doming applications. Its compact design fits easily on a desktop, making it an excellent option for businesses with limited space.

“Precision is vitally important for doming applications, and the Roland DG BN2-20A has been carefully selected and rigorously tested by Liquid Lens for its high-quality output and cutting accuracy,” says Andy Huxley, technical manager of Liquid Lens. “As an authorised reseller of Roland DG in Australia, GJS is an ideal partner for our solutions and has been for more than 17 years.”

“Doming gives even simple designs a high-end feel,” adds Steve Hastie, managing director of Liquid Lens. “It’s perfect for businesses of all sizes. Whether you’re creating premium labels or looking for new branding ideas, doming makes a real difference.”

Doming works on various shapes and sizes of non-porous materials and is versatile enough for decals and heat transfers.
