Wednesday, 17 December 2025 ASGA Launches 2026 National Sign & Graphics Awards ASGA has officially launched its tenth biennial National Sign & Graphics Awards, with entries opening on 9 February 2026. The Gala Presentation Dinner will take place on 3 September during Visual Impact in Sydney. The Association, which has run the Awards every second year since 2006, says it is seeking sponsors and expressions of interest from potential judges for the 2026 event. According to ASGA President, Mick Harrold, the Awards are the premier event on the sign and graphics industry calendar, and play an essential role in encouraging, promoting and rewarding the skills and craftsmanship across all forms of sign making, affirming excellence in the industry’s technologies and products. “The Awards were founded to recognise and reward sign companies nationally for the achievement of excellence, and to showcase the wonderful array of talent within our industry,” Harrold explains. “As well as providing a platform to recognise the best work across all facets of the sign and graphics sector, the Awards promote the full range of signage products our industry produces – modern, digital and traditional methods, across all applications from fabricated and illuminated signage to printed and soft signage.” The Organising Committee for the 2026 competition and event comprises Rhys Carmody from Status Signs, Nick Greally from Apex Signage, Damian Nielsen, ASGA Membership & Events Manager, Julie Rochester from Sign Languages SA and Ian Widdop from ecept. “The Committee’s role will be to review and revise entry categories and criteria, and provide ideas, guidance and feedback on the operational aspects of the Awards competition and presentation,” he explains, adding that the Association is now seeking expressions of interest from leading industry suppliers to sponsor the Awards. “Sponsors are, of course, the ones who make events like this possible, and the Awards provide a great platform for companies to demonstrate their support for the sector,” he adds. “Sponsors can also take advantage of valuable marketing opportunities associated with the competition and the Gala Awards Presentation Dinner, which has long been regarded as the industry’s ‘Night of Nights’. “We have been very well supported in the past, and we are confident companies will once again step up to sponsor these important Awards for our Anniversary year.” Work completed between 25 July 2024 and 24 July 2025 is eligible to enter. Judging will be conducted by an expert panel appointed in the new year. Award winners will be announced at a glittering presentation dinner, to be held at the Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park. s The 2026 Award Categories, entry criteria and Gala Presentation Dinner details will be published on the ASGA website at signs.org.au/events-and-news/national-sign-graphics-awards/.
