3M wrap film transforms performance cars on movie set of ‘The Gentlemen’

British director Guy Ritchie’s latest movie, The Gentlemen, features three performance cars that were transformed for the set using 3M Car Wrap Films.

During filming in London, a number of 3M Authorised Vehicle Wrappers joined the production team at the West London Film Studios where they wrapped an Alfa Romeo in 3M Military Green, a Range Rover in 3M Gloss Gold Metallic and a BMW in 3M Atomic Teal.

The cars were used in scenes throughout the movie - which tells the story of American expatriate Mickey Pearson who triggers an array of plots and schemes when he tries to sell his marijuana empire in London – and are featured in the trailer.

The Gentlemen sees a return to Ritchie's signature style of British gangster movies, such as Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch, and stars Matthew McConaughey, Charlie Hunnam, Michelle Dockery, Hugh Grant and Colin Farrell.

Said Refresh and Refurbishment segment marketer for the North Europe Region, Pen Webley: "We had fantastic support from our Authorised Vehicle Wrappers Coastline, Wrap Cube and Wrap Kings, who wrapped the cars.  Some scenes in the film take place in a garage with the car wrapping going on in the background, so another of our Authorised Vehicle Wrappers, APM Customs, supervised the on-set wrap applications and worked on continuity and wrap techniques with the film extras to make sure that the wrapping looked authentic.

"The wrapped Alfa Romeo, Range Rover and BMW all look amazing in the film and are a great way for us to showcase our wide range of car wrap films that can transform any vehicle."
