Friday, 17 April 2026 Roland DG Targets High-Volume Board Production with New EU2-1000MF Flatbed Roland DG has launched the EU2-1000MF, a next-generation UV flatbed printer designed to streamline rigid media production and boost throughput for sign and display businesses. Aimed at applications including signage, retail displays, exhibitions and interior panels, the new system enables direct-to-board printing, eliminating the need for traditional roll-to-roll, laminating and mounting processes. The company says this approach reduces manual handling, minimises rework and delivers a more controlled production workflow. Ryugo Nimura, Executive Officer, Global Sales and Marketing Division, Roland DG, says, “With the EU2-1000MF, we focused on helping print businesses simplify how rigid media work gets done.” The EU2-1000MF supports media up to 1,220 × 2,440 mm and thicknesses up to 95 mm, allowing users to work across a wide range of rigid substrates. It is engineered for production environments requiring consistent output and repeatable image quality. Roland DG reports that the new model delivers approximately 1.5 times the productivity of its predecessor while maintaining the same price point, offering increased capacity without added operational complexity. “By moving directly from file to finished board, users can reduce manual steps, improve consistency, and increase output – all while maintaining the stable, repeatable quality needed for daily production,” adds Nimura. The printer forms part of a broader production ecosystem, integrating VersaWorks 7 RIP software, E-US inks and Roland DG’s service and support infrastructure to deliver an end-to-end flatbed solution.
