Friday, 8 May 2020 ASGA compiles summary of Building & Contractors License requirements across States Glenn Hain, ASGA’s Risk & Compliance consultant has compiled a summary of the Building & Contractors License requirements across States, for ASGA members. “Requirements vary greatly from State to State and vary too as not all members start with the same qualification,” says Glenn, pointing out that those individuals with a carpentry or associated trade background will find it easier to obtain a Restricted Building License than someone with a signwriting background. He advises members to do online research to establish where and how to apply for the license and is offering to assist with training location advice. Glenn further advises that NSW will be introducing a Restricted Building License in the near future and encourages ALL NSW members to apply for it when it becomes available.
