Mimaki previews new UV-DTF UJV300DTF-75 at Australian roadshows

Mimaki Australia has  hosted customer roadshows in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney, supported by Velflex and Siser, showcasing its Direct-to-Film (DTF) technology – and offering attendees a first look at the new UV-curable Direct-to-Film printer, the UJV300DTF-75, which will be available in Australia shortly.

Kohei Kobayashi, Managing Director of Mimaki Australia, says these open days were designed to demonstrate how DTF technology can integrate with existing workflows. “Whether you’re interested in custom print or apparel, these events are aimed at giving attendees – decorators, apparel brands and custom-print providers – an understanding of how the technology could work with their own setup, making it a valuable experience for anyone looking to start-up, expand or upgrade.”

Ben Carroll, Managing Director of Velflex, highlights how UV-DTF levels the playing field for smaller operators. “We know DTF is the big corner piece for garment decoration now, but with everybody doing it, people are looking at how they can stand out.”

“At these events, we’ve demonstrated real-life applications and shown attendees just how easy it is to produce a variety of different transfers in-house.”

“We’ve also showcased UV-DTF, showing how smaller ‘mum and dad’ print shops can now create custom, one-off items in-house, that will still be cost-effective even in small quantities, with the new Mimaki UJV300DTF-75, which Mimaki plans to make available for purchase in the coming weeks.”

Kobayashi adds, “Attending the Mimaki Open Days presented a fantastic opportunity for our customers to get hands-on with our latest DTF technology – including the TxF300-75 and TxF150-75, as well as the new UJV300DTF-75 – to see how they perform across a range of materials.”

“It’s not just about showcasing the printers: the events opened up a collaborative space where our team were on hand to answer questions, share production tips, and help businesses identify the right solution for their needs.”

The DTF Open Days also coincided with the launch of Mimaki’s limited-time Trade Up Campaign, running through August and September, which offers existing users of DTF, direct-to-garment and sublimation printers substantial savings on select Mimaki models – including the TxF300-75, TxF150-75 and TS100-1600.
