Monday, 18 April 2022 Impression Technology Australia to showcase The DTF Transfer Kit at FESPA 2022 Impression Technology Australia will exhibit its PPS Innovation’s Direct-to-Film (DTF) Kit at the FESPA Global Print Expo 2022, from the 31st of May to the 3rd of June 2022 at the Messe Berlin in Germany. The DTF Kit was developed for existing DTG owners (regardless of printer brand) to produce heat transfers and achieve superior indirect printing onto natural and synthetic fabric materials, including sportswear, outdoor clothing, caps, bags, umbrellas, and T-Shirts. The DTF Kit plugs into an existing DTG setup and simplifies transfer production. Since the initial product launch in November 2021, the DTF Kit has gained widespread industry recognition as a turnkey solution for existing DTG users of Epson, Brother, and other brand printers using textile pigmented ink chemistry. DTF Kit Details - The DTF Kit consists of a modular heat-controlled platen to reduce ink bleed during film printing, printable transfer sheets, a TPU powder glue for application via a shaker, and a PPS Melt Box to cure both the ink layer and powder glue ready for transfer application. The heat-controlled platen stabilises the ink during printing, thus reducing colour bleed on the film, which in turn improves both image and transfer quality. The TPU powder glue is optimised to reduce static on the printable film ensuring accurate glue to ink adhesion and flexibility in fabric types for embellishment. The PPS Melt Cure box is a heat adjustable and timer-controlled unit that cures the printed film and glue prior to pressing. The DTF Kit is designed to work with most DTG printer brands. DTG users can also use Kodak’s DTF specific ink set as an option. Impression Technology Australia CEO, Steve Richardson says “The DTF kit was specifically designed by both PPS Innovations and Kodak to enable decorators to get the best results from indirect transfer printing. Impression Technology Australia is delighted to showcase this product at the upcoming FESPA Global Print Expo, which sits at the heart of industry innovation. We feel our DTF Kit product is perfect to showcase at this event. The DTF Kit enables the user to decorate a greater range of both natural and synthetic fabrics which potentially opens up new business opportunities. A distinct benefit of indirect transfer printing is the ability to decorate synthetic fabrics including Sportswear and Outdoor clothing and the ability to embellish difficult surfaces like caps and bags which can have curves and flaps making it impractical for direct printing. Additionally, transfers can be printed and cured, ready for application when required offering greater versatility around production schedules. In essence, the DTF Kit will greatly benefit DTG users and comes with the backing of both PPS Innovations and Kodak.” Previous Article Velflex Marks 15 Years of Innovation at PacPrint Next Article Roland DG brings the latest in wide-format to PacPrint If you have a news story, or story about an interesting project or installation please contact [email protected] Sign up to Image Magazine Newsletter.
