The films produced by the Hexis R&D laboratory provide 24-hour continuous preventive protection against bacteria and coronaviruses. Independent tests undertaken with the French laboratory UB’L3 revealed that the films were active against the viral loads of the strain responsible for COVID-19. As of 29 January 2021 (the date of the UB’L3 laboratory report), all Pure Zone 060 B/M products and batch numbers of the product will comply with the certification, making it possible to effectively fight against viral loads from SARS-CoV-2 and will be covered by the results of the UB’L3 laboratory report. Pure Zone films contain silver ions encapsulated in a glass matrix and distributed evenly throughout the film. In contact with humidity, these reactive silver ions are activated from the surface layer and will quickly block and inhibit microbes, thus limiting their proliferation between two cleaning and disinfection protocols.
