The exhibition, which runs until 7 July, also offers seminars that will provide tips by industry experts on how to solve a wide range of problems and provide attendees with information on trends to broaden their business. The keynote session will be addressed by Jim Hamilton, Industry Analyst, Keypoint Intelligence and Hiroaki Shimosaka, Fujifilm’s General Manager, Graphic Systems Business Division. The discussion will focus on industry trends of the pandemic, apps that are expected to grow in the future, and the role that digitalisation will play with. In addition, the two parties will discuss how Fujifilm can help them grow. Two seminar sessions will be held on 25 July. These include: “The future is smart and connected” This session will focus on key market trends surrounding smart print manufacturing and the concept of a ‘Smart Factory’ and the current challenges that limit transformation. Speakers: Ryan McAbee (Director Production Workflow Consulting Service, Keypoint Intelligence) “The future of digital labels and flexible packaging” The latest market forecasts developed by Smithers as the basis for the ‘Future of Digital Packaging and Labels to 2026’ report will be discussed, highlighting market development and brand initiatives. Speakers: Sean Smyth (Printing & Packaging Technologist, Smithers Analyst & Consultant, Smithers) “Digital printing value and how to sell it” is the topic of discussion on 28 July, which focuses on how quickly the new value created by digital printing can contribute to profits in the light of the turmoil created by the global pandemic, highlighting key trends. Speakers: German Sacristan (Director Production Print & Media Group, Keypoint Intelligence The seminar on 29 July will focus on “The state of wide format printing 2021 – roadmap to recovery” and recap on the top trends that have emerged in the wide format market during the first half of 2021, along with key predictions for the future based off the Keypoint Intelligence 2020 – 2024 forecast.
