Customers can also recycle signage with TerraCycle, a global leader in recycling. TerraCycle collects hard-to-recycle materials, sorts, processes and then transforms the waste, thus diverting millions of kilograms of resources, including signage, from landfills. Andrew Doenicke, Director of Mesh Direct, says, “Environmental responsibility is our core value at Mesh Direct. In 2021, we became the first carbon-neutral signage company in Australia. In 2022 we are embracing a new way to move forward towards creating a more sustainable future by introducing a Responsible Signage Range and a new Recycling Program. We are paving the way for the industry to join us on the sustainability journey….”. The new recyclable range gives customers a wide variety of recyclable and sustainable signage options, which can be returned to Mesh Direct when no longer required. Once returned, the signage is sent to TerraCycle where it will be prepared for recycling. Based on the sign’s substrate material, it will then be made into a new product such as park benches, buckets and reusable shopping bags. The responsible signage range at Mesh Direct includes Alupanel Signage made from Aluminum Composite, Polyester Mesh, Crowd Control Barrier Banners, Corflute Signage, EcoVinyl and EcoBoard, a 100% recyclable and biodegradable signage alternative to traditional corflute. Mesh Direct work closely with customers to find the product that best suits their signage requirements and meets their own sustainability goals. A variety of colours, formats and sizes are available, and with a focus on quality materials, customers can achieve their signage goals knowing it will last, no matter the substrate. Mesh Direct has also pledged to credit customers with $100 to use on their next signage project when they choose to recycle their signs. Mesh Direct continue to push the boundaries when it comes to sustainability. With a vision to use recycled materials in their own production of signage in the near future, Mesh Direct are paving the way for a waste-free world.
