The Cheltenham based company already has an HP Latex 360 and Latex 570 and decided to invest in the new R2000 to grow their business to the next level. The company started in promotional products, expanding into printing and signage with a roll-to-roll printer, and now many years later, the R2000 flatbed is replacing their existing UV flatbed. Managing Director, Mark Brock says “There is a great environmental message with the new HP Latex printers, and we want to send that message to our customers. The R2000 has the print quality and substrates we need to confidently sell to our clients.” Printflex works in the event space, selling to both high volume short-term events and high-end, more permanent installations. Like many, the company was knocked by COVID, but Brock says they used the time to rebrand post-pandemic. He adds that the new Latex will fit perfectly into the growing body of work and client base that is increasingly demanding eco-friendly products. He adds that "the machine running costs are not as high as UV, with parts easily replaceable, another point in the decision to buy the printer. Ball & Doggett were the final choice of supplier for us because they have techs on the ground for support, we also have a history of being client for both Ball & Doggett and Conect, so we were very comfortable knowing how their support works and that we would have access to the tech support,” says Brock. Mike Callander, Hardware Sales Manager for Ball & Doggett says, “Mark has been a valued client for over ten years. We are delighted to help him future-proof his business with this new acquisition, broadening the sales opportunities into other media and applications.” Previous Article Zünd wins Red Dot Design Award for the new Q line Cutter Next Article Drytac has it all covered at FESPA Global Print Expo 2023 Print 972
