FESPA 2023 - EFI showcase range of solutions

Live from FESPA Paul Whitehead, Currie Group Business Unit Manager, Sign and Display, takes us on a tour of the EFI stand.

“A highlight of the stand is the EFI Vutek H5 which is the flagship system of the EFI portfolio”, says Paul. The EFI Vutek H5 is a 3.2-metre hybrid roll/flatbed LED inkjet printer platform with print resolution up to 1200 dpi. It has four (optional) or eight-colour modes plus white, and up to nine-layer print capability in a single pass, with the ability to print up to 109 boards per hour. It also has automated media handling options including a new 3/4 automated media loading, stacker systems and super duty winders all designed to increase productivity. “The new EFI Vutek H5 has had a number of upgrades making it suitable for corrugate and gloss select”, explains Paul.

Also on the stand is the EFI Vutek Q3R roll to roll UV/LED printer which is “the fastest roll to roll UV/LED printer on the market”, says Paul. The Q3R allows you to go from RIP to finished product on the same platform It has a wide range application capabilities including white and clear, double-sided printing and textiles The Q3R  encompasses automatic in-line quality inspection, inline slitting and cutting, roll & tape.

For the soft signage market there is the EFI™ VUTEk® FabriVU® 340i+ dye-sublimation printer with inline fixation that allows you to print direct to fabric and sublimate inline, in one step, for production runs that are immediately ready for finishing and shipping. Paul Whitead, Currie Group Business Unit Manager, Sign and Display says “We are seeing strong interest in this product, with a number of units already landing in Australia. For businesses that want to offer soft signage, but don’t have the floor space or budget for a dedicated calendar heat press, the VUTEk FabriVU 340i+ dye-sublimation printer is an excellent solution”.

Another product of interest is the 3.2-metre EFI™ Pro 30h hybrid flatbed/roll-fed LED entry-level production printer. It prints on a wide variety of substrates for a wide variety of applications including day/night backlit graphics, décor, retail signage, outdoor signage, wall coverings, window graphics. The EFI Pro 30h hybrid printer, allows you to upgrade or add board and roll-to-roll print jobs to your wide format capabilities. Four colours plus white standard for those high value prints. It features EFI UltraDrop™ Technology 7pL greyscale printing. With a resolution up to 1200 dpi. It has a magnetic linear drive for better drop placement and a greater colour gamut.
