New trade supplier for custom printed composite panel and aluminium signage

Mackay-based Blair Signs & Print has launched a new trade service specialising in printed and cut composite panel and aluminium. As a trade supplier, orders will be shipped direct to your business so that your installation teams can take it to site.

“Increasingly, sign makers like us are outsourcing specialist products such as banners, flags and promotional products to trade houses better set up to do these products. While most sign companies can do these products in-house, if it is not something they do every day, then there are often better margins to be made when outsourced,” says Aaron Grigg of Blair Signs & Print.

“We feel the same applies to CNC cut ACM. Of course, a sign company is always going to do their ‘bread and butter’ ACM signage in-house, but sometimes you have the opportunity to quote on multiple signs of different sizes, images and shapes. They can be time-consuming to do with manual tools.

“We see the best jobs for our system to handle for you are sets of signs in ACP or aluminium.  The other type of work we excel at is complex engineered shapes. Our expertise as signmakers combined with the precision of our process means that we can engineer larger panels for you in a way that significantly simplifies assembly and installation,” he adds.

Blair Signs has serviced the mining industry around Mackay for a long time and invested in a highly automated flatbed digital printing line with UV Liquid Laminator and Multicam CNC I-Cut system.  Full sheets are digitally printed, and UV cured liquid laminated inline before being cut to size on the Multicam.

“The Mackay sun is harsh, and time has shown our process to have superior durability when compared to film and SAV laminations. We call our method ‘sunscreen for signs’,” says Aaron.

The convenience extends to the ordering and costing process. You can give Aaron and his team call or use their online web portal (trade.blairsigns.com.au). A free sample pack is available on request.

The web portal allows you to price by the full sheet or multiple sheets that can be butted together to form a large fascia and as an individual component upload a file.

Blair Signs & Print is happy for you to lay your parts out on the panel or they can do the nesting and setup for you. Typical dispatch time is four days from receipt of order. As a trade supplier, orders will be shipped direct to your business so that your installation team can take it to site.
