The system enables remote control of various printer functions, such as powering the printer and heater on/off, circulating white ink, performing cleaning, and running test prints using mobile devices and PCs. This allows the user to complete printer set-up for a job before leaving for work so that printing can begin immediately after arriving at their workplace. The printer can also be turned off remotely when long print runs are completed at night, minimising time wastage and providing a more secure operation. In addition, users can now modify the display screen to remotely monitor their printers’ operational status, such as operating rate, printing progress, and remaining ink level. Frequently used icons can now be customised to the user's preferred layout in easy-to-access locations. This feature allows for a more comfortable and optimised work environment for each customer. These new services are included with Printer Monitoring Pro and are available with Roland DG Connect Premium and Professional plans.
