Strong Turnout for Melbourne Print & Prosecco Event

The Village Belle Hotel in St Kilda was the perfect venue for Women in Print’s latest ‘Print & Prosecco’ event, with a strong turnout of industry women confirming the ongoing popularity of these informal gatherings.

Held the evening before Halloween, the event saw many guests dress for the occasion, giving a nod to the spooky spirit of the season.

Along with delicious canapés and drinks, guests were also treated to a fun trivia quiz, which tested their knowledge about a range of subjects, including the achievements of Australian women.

The enjoyable activity saw keen competition between the randomly assembled teams and revealed some surprising facts in fields including history, music, and sport. Attendees went home with greater knowledge of the contribution of women in these fields and were buoyed by the connection with other women from across the print, sign, and graphics sectors.

Guests were enthusiastic about the night, and feedback praised not only the opportunity to meet industry peers but also the format of the event.
“I met lovely people, and I thought the Trivia was such a great idea,” said one attendee, with another agreeing that “the highlight of the night was the Trivia”.
Not only was the quiz fun but as one attendee pointed out, it was also a great ice-breaker.
“The trivia night was great fun and a fabulous way to connect with people I didn’t already know,” they said. “It was just the right length of time to be fun without dragging on for too long, leaving plenty of time for networking, chatting and meeting people.”

Women in Print Victorian Patron Rita Karagiannis said, “Our ‘Print and Prosecco’ networking events are wonderful opportunities for our community to come together over a drink and some nibbles, fostering connections and sharing experiences.

“Taking time out of our busy lives to gather like this helps us build stronger relationships and support each other.
“We’re excited to host more events like this throughout the year, not just our annual breakfast series, giving everyone more chances to connect and engage within our Women in Print community,” she added.

Tickets are still available for Adelaide (7 November), Perth (8 November) and Sydney (13 November) and can be purchased at https://womeninprint.com.au/network
