Janet / Monday, 11 November 2024 / Categories: Latest News, Associations Connections & conversations for industry women in SA & WA The industry’s women in South Australia and Western Australia took the opportunity to make new connections and enjoy extended conversations with their peers at intimate Women in Print Print & Prosecco events last week. The Adelaide event, proudly sponsored by Access Print Holdings and Retail Ink, was held at The Archer Hotel, while the Perth group gathered at the Sassy Cocktail Bar. Both venues served an outstanding selection of food to accompany plenty of prosecco and other delicious drinks. Women in Print SA Patron Diana Nikolic from Ball & Doggett said the SA contingent had an enjoyable night. “We started with a fun ‘break the ice’ bingo game to get everyone mingling and making connections with women outside their groups,” she reports. It was great seeing everyone coming together to chat and have a few laughs over great food and bubbles.” The Perth night, too, was positively received. WA Patron Kimberly Skinner from Total Digital Solutions said there is a real benefit to getting together with people from the broader industry community and getting to know each other in smaller settings. “We had some ice breaker questions which prompted us to go a bit deeper than the usual, ‘how is business’ conversations,” she says. “I’m looking forward to building on this event and creating a vibrant Women in Print community in Perth.” New South Wales Women in Print will be next to enjoy this popular event, with the Sydney Print & Prosecco scheduled for this Wednesday, 13 November, at the Boulevard Brasserie at the Novotel, Sydney Olympic Park. Women in Print events, including the Print & Prosecco evenings around the country, are made possible by the hard work of volunteer committees in each State and the Support of Sponsors, including Women in Print Allies Cactus Imaging, Media Super, and Ricoh Australia, and supporters Ball & Doggett, FramptonPR, IVE Group, NJ Creative, Rocking Rose, Southern Impact, and Total Digital Solutions in addition to ASGA, Visual Connections and Visual Media Association.
