Wednesday, 22 May 2024 Signarama Tuggerah Hosts Sustainable Print & Signage Showcase Signarama Tuggerah, located on the Central Coast of New South Wales, hosted a Sustainable Print & Signage Showcase. The open day showcased Signarama Tuggerah's commitment to eco-friendly business practices and innovative print solutions. The event drew diverse attendees, including Signarama franchisees from Artarmon, Mingara, Maitland, and Ballarat, government representatives from Workcover, BusinessNSW, and the Liberal Party, and local media such as Coasties Magazine. Notable Signarama customers, including the Central Coast Mariners Football Club and North Construction & Building Pty Ltd, were also present, along with HP partners like Ball & Doggett and Spandex. Attendees were given a firsthand look at the latest HP technological advancements in sustainable printing. Melissa Marshall, Director of Signarama Tuggerah, and the HP team led groups through their production facility. They showcased the capabilities of HP's environmentally certified Latex technology, with the HP Latex 800W, known as 'Whipper,' and the HP Latex R 1000, dubbed 'Whopper,' in full production. "The signage industry is changing immensely," noted Gary Marshall, Managing Director of Signarama Tuggerah. "Traditionally, the signage industry generates a lot of waste, and we are making a concerted effort to reduce this waste. Through our business partners, we are moving in the right direction." Craig Hardman, Country Manager for Large Format Printing at HP Australia, said, "Signarama Tuggerah has made significant investments on the Central Coast. Their choice of our brand at HP and commitment to sustainability is commendable." The showcase emphasised integrating the Circular Economy approach in print production and how Signarama's sustainability contributions are helping reduce its carbon footprint. Key highlights included HP Gen 4 Latex Technology demonstrations featuring water-based inks and ocean-bound and recycled plastics in HP Latex printers. Attendees also learned about the versatility of HP Latex technology, including its white ink capabilities and the value of sustainable and eco-friendly print media in production processes.
