Friday, 7 June 2024 Briner Signs purchases swissQprint Kudu Philip Trumble (Pozitive), Carmen Eicher (swissQprint), Warren Davey (Pozitive), Con Tsakonas (Briner Signs), John Tsinissidis (Briner Signs), Adriano Gut (swissQprint) and Kilian Hinterman (swissQprint) Pozitive Sign & Graphic Supplies has announced the sale of a swissQprint Kudu to Melbourne based Briner Signs. First launched at FESPA Berlin in 2022, the Kudu has been built from a newly designed mechanical foundation and operates on linear drives, engineered for 24/7 operation. Delivering an output of up to 304m2 per hour, the Kudu can be configured with up to 10 colour channels, and features a patented tip-switch vacuum system and modular roll to roll add-on. Con Tsakonas, Managing Director of Briner Signs told Image Magazine “We first saw the swissQprint machines about 10 years ago but went with another supplier as they had a roll to roll option but the reality is we haven’t used it. We went to FESPA and drupa so we could compare all the machines available currently and do our due diligence, because when we invest we keep the machines for a long time. The swissQprint Kudu ticked all the boxes and we also really appreciate the level of technical knowledge and support we get from Phil and Warren from Pozitive.” “We do a lot of work for real estate companies, billboards and directional signage. We are also launching a new commercial product, a 600mm x 450mm A frame where you can slide a printed foam board in and out of the frame, making it easy and cost effective for small businesses. This machine will be perfect for printing these boards in high volume as we are aiming to sell 100,000 units in the next 12 months”, explains Con. When asked about the growing success of the swissQprint Kudu flatbed in Australia Phil Trumble Managing Director of Pozitive said, “A lot of people have been watching swissQprint for a number of years and the Kudu is now ticking the boxes for more and more people. We currently have four in production and have a fifth machine arriving in July for our showroom, which is really exciting as there is nothing like seeing a machine in action”.
