Friday, 20 October 2023 Hexis Open Day celebrates the opening of new Melbourne Showroom HEXIS hosted an Open Day on October 19 to celebrate the company's newly opened Melbourne showroom. HEXIS' Global CEO Clément Mateu, from France, was on hand, offering attendees a unique opportunity to meet the CEO and learn more about Hexis, its products and corporate initiatives, particularly in the area of recycling. The event began with a ribbon cutting by Mateu and HEXIS Australia Managing Director Ian Parsonson; this was followed by guided tours of the cutting-edge facilities and showroom. Attendees had the exclusive opportunity to meet and chat with Mateu, learn more about the company's vision and plans, and connect with HEXIS Australian Managing Director Ian Parsonson and the wider Hexis team. Mateu noted the company's commitment to its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program and goals and the success of its recycling program, launched in the French Market in 2022, saying, "Over the last five years, we have invested in our CSR policy, and we continue to grow. What is happening in Australia for HEXIS is indicative of our global markets. Our environmental engagement is something we are heavily focused on. We launched our PVC recycling program in France and are now recycling the kraft liner, the PE liner and the PVC with adhesive, which we could not do before. Our partners recycle these products into insulation and pipes for irrigation. It was not easy to roll out; the key to the program is the collection stage." Mateu continues, "We are looking to expand the program into Australia, the challenge being to collaborate with the right partner for the recycling locally." Guests also had the chance to explore the latest advancements in technology and product solutions that HEXIS offers. Hexis-certified installers demonstrated the installation of the HEXIS BODYFENCE gloss PPF. The highlight of which was Mateu running a fork across the gloss wrap to demonstrate its protection features. Ian Parsonson, Managing Director of HEXIS Australia, said, "Establishing this new 1200sqm facility in Melbourne will enable us to better manage stock. We're already servicing all of the East Coast with next business day delivery, but this new facility allows us to support with stock from two warehouses." Parsonson adds, "A big advantage of dealing with Hexis is that even if we do run out of something, we are directly connected to the manufacturer in France, and we can land new stock very quickly. The next step will be to add a purpose-built training facility, where installers can learn about the latest innovations and materials and get expert advice on best practice installation techniques," concludes Parsonson.
